Bloomwick: The Merge Garden - Free Online Merge Puzzle & Quiz Game

Pip the moth keeps a glass greenhouse in Bloomwick. Slide the planter so matching plants grow into the next one, from Seed up to the Starbloom, and answer Pip's riddles in math, science, and vocabulary. A correct riddle earns a garden tool. When the Starbloom opens, the night sky lights up.

How to play

Slide with the arrow keys, WASD, or a swipe. Two matching plants become the next plant, and each plant merges only once per slide. Every slide that changes the board adds one new plant. A new plant, and a riddle every twelve moves, asks a question in math, science, or vocabulary. A correct answer lets you pick a tool: shears remove a plant, gloves swap two, a rain shower shuffles the planter, and a time seed undoes the last slide. You can hold two of each, and every third correct answer in a row grants one. A Riddle Blossom every twenty moves blocks merges until it is answered; a correct answer clears it and plants three seeds. One rescue riddle, when nothing can merge, clears the four smallest plants. A wrong rescue ends the garden. Classic Garden grows the Starbloom with no clock. Fractions Mode labels the plants as fractions, and a 1 is the Starbloom. Sunrise Sprint lasts three minutes, and a slide with more than one merge adds three seconds. Daily Garden uses the same seeds for everyone.

Learning Guide

Bloomwick: The Merge Garden is a slide-and-merge puzzle in a glass greenhouse. Matching plants slide together and grow into the next one, from Seed up to the legendary Starbloom, and the learning arrives with Pip the moth: a riddle in math, science, or vocabulary between grows. The slide stays simple, and the question is the pause that earns the next tool.

There are four gardens, and the questions get harder as the plants do. Classic Garden has no clock, and the Starbloom is the goal. Fractions Mode labels the plants as fractions, from a sixteenth up to a whole, and growing a 1 blooms the Starbloom. Two different fractions sitting side by side can be added for a 60-point bonus. Sunrise Sprint lasts three minutes, and a slide that merges more than one pair adds three seconds. Daily Garden gives everyone the same seeds on a five-by-five board. The other gardens can be Cozy (four across), Classic (five), or Grand (six). Seed through Fern stay on easy questions. Tulip through Sunflower are medium. Lotus and everything after it is hard. The bank does not repeat a question until every one has been used.

Slide with the arrow keys, WASD, or a swipe. Two of the same plant become the next one, and a plant can merge only once in a slide. Each extra merge in that same slide adds 25 percent to the score. Every slide that actually changes the board adds one new plant. The first time a plant is grown, and again every twelve moves, Pip asks a riddle. A correct answer lets you pick a garden tool, and you can hold two of each: pruning shears remove one plant, swap gloves trade two, a rain shower shuffles the planter, and a time seed undoes the last slide. Every third correct answer in a row grants a tool on its own. A Riddle Blossom appears every twenty moves and blocks merges until it is opened. A correct answer there clears it and plants three seeds. A wrong answer only clears it. When the planter is full and nothing can merge, one rescue riddle clears the four smallest plants. A wrong rescue, or giving up, ends the garden. Growing the Starbloom lights the night sky, and the garden can keep going after that.

Sliding toward the first open gap can fail silently when a Riddle Blossom sits between matching plants. The rescue riddle happens only once — filling the planter on purpose spends it. Read Pip's question before picking a tool; skipping a riddle means no tool, and skipping the rescue ends the garden.

On a table, write plant names or numbers one through eleven on cards and slide matches into the next stage. Ask a math, science, or vocabulary question between slides. Fractions Mode maps cleanly onto fraction cards that double into the next larger value. Inventing Pip's next riddle is harder than tapping an answer.

Pausing to plan the merge, growing Fern through Starbloom, and lighting the night sky show the chain was thought through. When something Pip asked returns in conversation, the greenhouse is teaching.
